Even though Bridgestone is still a player at the consumer level with the fabulous 403/404 tire combo, they are ready to make a new move into the motocross market with the Battlecross X40.

Using the Battlecross product name for the first time, both new tires exploit Bridgestone’s advanced MX tread and block design technology, developed and proven at the highest level of motocross competition.

Pirelli DIABLO™ Supercorsa SP have proven themselves once more to be the new reference point in the racing tyre segment for street use and the first choice for the ultra high performance bikes recently introduced to the market by the most prestigious motorcycle manufacturers. In fact, the brand new Ducati 1299 Panigale, 1299 Panigale S and Panigale R will come with these hypersport tyres as original equipment in:

120/70 ZR17 (58W) DIABLO SUPERCORSA SP V2 on the front and
200/55 R17 (78W) DIABLO SUPERCORSA SP V2 on the rear.

This street tyre, designed for professional riders and for bikers who have a sport street riding style but also love the track, provides racing performance typical of track-only products, allowing the user to have one ultra high performance product that can be used on the street or the track without having to make compromises. Compared to the compound version SC which is for track use, the DIABLO™ Supercorsa SP offers a bi-compound rear tyre in order to better adapt to street use, as well as more regular wear which favours mileage.

Fresh out of the mold, the ContiMotion presents a new product for the low-end range. Unlike other tire manufacturers, who offer older models as budget low-end products, Continental has developed the Conti Motion, an innovative technology based on a whole new concept, to serve the needs of this sector.

PIRELLI MT 60 RS is the Pirelli tyre designed for the DUCATI SCRAMBLER, the latest model launched by the Borgo Panigale company in four versions: Icon, Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Classic.

The front 3.00' x 18' and the rear 5.50' x 17' wheels of the DUCATI SCRAMBLER are designed to be lightweight and will fit as original equipment the new enduro street tyres from Pirelli, the MT 60™ RS 110/80 R18 front and 180/55 R17 rear. Bridgestone has added the Ecopia low-rolling-resistance tyre to the Battlax SC line-up for maxi scooters. The new Battlax SC Ecopia provides a maintained high-level handling, stability, wear life and comfort as the standard Battlax SC, but with the advantage of greater fuel efficiency due to improvements in rolling resistance of 15%.

October 21, 2014 – Confirming itself as the best choice for high-performance and the most exclusive motorcycles recently launched on the market, the DIABLO ROSSO™II continues its domination.

In fact the supersport tyre of the Pirelli range has been chosen by MV Agusta to equip the new Brutale 800 RR (120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear sizes) and the Brutale Dragster 800 RR (120/70 ZR17 front and 200/50 ZR17 rear).

In particular, the 200/50 ZR17 rear equipping the new Brutale Dragster 800 RR has been specially developed by Pirelli for this MV Agusta model.

Recent changes to Germany’s  drivers’ license regulations have had a positive effect on the growth of the midsize-motorcycle market segment.

Up to now, the most commonly used tire size combination for this segment, 120/70 and 160/60-17, has not been available in the “M+S” marked version which German law requires for winter conditions.

To fill the gap in this growing market, Heidenau will introduce the already popular Heidenau K73 pattern in a special winter-version with “M+S”-marking. As all HEIDENAU motorcycle winter tires, these new tires will be manufactured using high-grade silica compounds  to minimize braking distances and maximize grip on cold and wet road surfaces.

The combination of carcass, compound and open tread design ensures the traction required for winter conditions including mud and/or snow.

The tires will be on the market in mid October.

Heidenau extends its range by new models and dimensions.
The new tyres are the Scooter sport tyre, the all rounder #K66 and of course the #K66Snowtex winter tyre.
The K66 is a modern all round tyre for daily use with balanced performance on wet and dry roads. By the open profile design the tyre provides superior water drainage on wet roads. The K66 also offers superb grip on dry roads, especially on slippery road surfaces the open tread blocks offer higher level safety.

The K66 Snowtex combines the characteristics of the K66 profile with the advantages of a high-quality silica rubber compound. This, and special textile fibres in the compound maximize grip under winter conditions and at temperatures below 7°C. So the K66 Snowtex provides outstanding traction and high safety reserves on the cold season of the year. 

Following a long period of development and extensive test cycles, they will be available in 160/60 -14 (65H) TL dimensions.
For the front, we will also offer both profiles in size 120/70 -15 (56H) TL.

So it will soon be possible to equip maxi-scooters such as Suzuki Burgman 650, Gilera Nexus 500 or Kymco MyRoad 700, with tires from the Saxony manufactory.

Mitas will also introduce new sizes of tyres for scooters. The new dimensions of MC38 MAX SCOOT, the front option for Honda new scooter models Vision and NSC, are 80/90 -14 (40P) and 80/90 -16 (45P)

Grippy compound:
New multi-functional compound has been developed to improve a dry and wet road grip
Owing to its special composition the compound quickly warms up to an optimum working temperature and provides for a road grip in all conditions and on various surfaces
The compound in combination with a rigid and stable carcass  assures  a longer service life of a tyre
All components are well blended thanks to a special mixing procedure. Well-blended components assure a homogenous compound, tyre structure and shape, which further results in a lower rolling resistance and fuel consumption.

Mitas will also launch new tyres in the Motocross Competition range. The new tyres are C-28 and C-29 TERRACROSS designed for medium to hard terrains and C-30 and C-31 TERRACROSS for soft to medium terrains. Mitas TERRACROSS tyres will satisfy the needs of the most demanding motocross riders in the racing world.

They will be available on worldwide markets in December 2014.

At the INTERMOT Fair in Cologne this October, we will introduce the new K60 Scout sizes: 

120/70 B19 (60T) M+S
170/60 B17 (72T) M+S

The K 60 Scout is a true dual-sport tire, bringing a proven balance of performance both on and off road; and the new tires are expected to perform up to the standards set by the rest of the Scout family.

The positive experience with the 4.00-18 K28, which is used on the #URAL_RETRO, among other things, has prompted Heidenau to also bring the 4.00-19 dimension onto the market as a sidecar tire. Here too, the large contact area will ensure that the driving forces are distributed optimally and wear is minimized.

The newly developed tire structure is also specially designed to transfer the steering forces of the sidecar to the road in a targeted manner, thus ensuring good handling and braking behavior.

The 4.00 -19 TT Heidenau K28 motorcycle tire will be available from retailers from spring 2015.
