Update - So yes, the DUNLOP TRAILMAX MISSION will also come to Europe.

Dunlop tested over 30 different types of mission prototypes before the final specification was signed. One of the main goals was the durability in addition to full off-road suitability. Dunlop's own tests have shown that drivers can count on excellent mileage. The series version of the Mission rear tire delivered 12,800 kilometers to the wear limit in the test, an impressive number against the background of the very good off-road qualities.

(* Internal test carried out on a 400 km long test track in the field, tire sizes 110 / 80-19 and 150 / 70B17 on Suzuki V-Strom 1000)

10.10.2019 - Dunlop releas in the US a new Adventure motorcycle tyre - DUNLOP TRAILMAX MISSION

DUNLOP US: "We are proud to say not one other tire can do all the things Mission does, as well as it does, on such a variety of machines. With the Mission, Dunlop stayed focused on delivering a higher level of performance, mileage and durability over a wider range of conditions and terrain than any other tire. Today’s ADV bikes, Scramblers and Crossovers make enormous demands on tires, and deserve nothing less than Dunlop’s best technology. The Mission delivers."

An aggressive tred pattern yields traction in hard terrain.
Built-in rugged tread blocks feature Staggered Step design, a step-down feature to provide rigidity in the contact patch to enhance stability and handling.
Wrap-around lugs on the tire's edge to protect the tire from sharp rocks and provides additional off-road traction.
New compounds developed to deliver the perfect balance between road and off-road performance with focus on delivering class leading mileage performance.
Deep grooves excel in wet weather conditions and offer biting edges for off-road performance.
Fits popular large and small displacement machines including the Honda Africa Twin, Suzuki V-Strom, BMW GS models, KTM 1290/1290S, 790R/790S, Yamaha Tenere and Triumph 800/1200 models.

Mitas to enhance the extremely popular E-07 tyre range

MITAS E-07 / PLUS

Mitas, part of the Trelleborg Group, enhances its offering to the trail/ adventure segment of the motorcycle market, and due to popular demand reintroduces a number of sizes to its E-07 range alongside the successful E-07+ to give riders in this dynamic segment even more choice.

Gustavo Pinto Teixeira, Vice President Two Wheels and Specialty Tyres, explains:

“The E-07 is a true 50% on-road and 50% off-road adventure tyre. Over its long years of service it has continued to be one of the most desirable choices for adventure riders, as it combines road riding performance and wear with more adventurous off-road trips. Due to its hardwearing compound and optimal performance on- and off-road, the E-07 remains a preferred choice on many journeys across the world.”

The E-07+ is a class-leading 60% on-road and 40% off-road adventure tyre. It is for those riders of larger adventure motorcycles with higher engine displacement and power outputs, who are looking for great off-road performance, as well as improved road performance. Since the tread design is slightly more on-road oriented than the original E-07, both aforementioned requirements are met. A bigger knobby design provides plenty of open space between the tread blocks to displace sand, mud and water from the contact patch, while keeping enough rubber between the road and the rotating tyre.

Selected sizes of E-07 and E-07+ are available in the “Dakar” version (marked with a yellow stripe) featuring a reinforced carcass, higher puncture resistance and harder compound. It is ideal for higher loads, longer adventure trips and extreme conditions.

Both patterns remain fully interchangeable and compatible between front and rear (e.g. E-07 front, E-07+ rear), thereby offering a degree of personalization that only Mitas can offer to the market.

All tubeless (TL) versions of both E-07 and E-07+ can be used with a tube on tube type rims.
