The Metzeler tire brand has been selected by the Department for Enterprise of the Isle of Man as Official Tire with a sponsorship contract for the TT Races for the five-year period 2023-2027.

Avon Tyres and two-time Isle of Man TT race winner and former British Supersport champion Steve Plater has become brand ambassador for Avon’s motorcycle tyre range. Avon has been working closely with Plater in recent months to enhance the 3D Ultra Xtreme and 3D Ultra Xtreme Slick products. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the AVON 3D Ultra Xtreme and 3D Ultra Xtreme Slick, along with the wet-weather 3D Ultra Xtreme Rain Racer, are high-performance tyres developed with demanding track use in mind. Cooper has previously introduced brand ambassadors for particular product ranges, like Formula 1’s David Coulthard, who represented Cooper UHP tyres.
The multi-year partnership between Pirelli and Dorna WSBK Organization is strengthened and extended for a further three years, confirming itself as the longest-running single-tyre formula in motorsport history.
Pirelli will continue in the role of Official Tyre Supplier for all classes of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons, when the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the single-tire formula will take place. American Flat Track and Dunlop Motorcycle Tires announced another multi-year renewal to the longterm partnership between America’s Original Extreme Sport and the premier manufacturer of motorcycle tires in North America.
Continuing on as the Official Tire of American Flat Track, Dunlop also announced the development of the first new flat track tire in 40 years — the DT4. The new spec tire for the series, all riders in all three AFT classes will be competing on the DT4 in 2020.
