Pirelli continues its 100% supply agreement with Ducati, by creating a new tyre for the awesome Diavel musclebike, the Diablo Rosso II. Developed for this unique machine in a one-off 240/45 ZR17 sized rear, the Rosso II range is also available for a wide selection of machines.

The latest product from the famous Rosso line, the Diablo Rosso II offers great performance in the wet, increased stability and safety in corners.

This Ducati original equipment fitment comes as part of a three year 100% supply agreement with the Italian bike manufacturer; however this new tyre model and its specific dimensions required a deeper understanding of vehicle dynamics demanded by the new motorcycle’s Superbike-derived engine and 207kg weight. The Diavel is among a number of collaborative special projects between Pirelli and Ducati joining the 2010 Ducati Multistrada introduced one year ago and its Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres in model-specific sizes.

The Diablo Rosso II is the most sport-oriented and high-performing road product of the Rosso family, filled with technology developed by Pirelli in the World Superbike Championship.

The DIABLO Rosso II features the latest technology from the Italian brand, namely the Bi-Compound tread whose grip is enhanced even further by EPT (Enhanced Patch Technology), a technology developed in WSBK to optimise contact area at all lean angles on the road. The tyres also utilize ICS (Integrated Contour Shaping) technology that ideally maps tyre profiles to compliment modern bikes’ handling and power delivery.

The tyre is an evolution from the Diablo Rosso, from which it has its sporty identity, while emphasizing and improving at the same time several characteristics as versatility and handling. It raises the bar of the Rosso brand in terms of sport capabilities and is destined for Supersport motorcyclists who seek top performance and at the same time want to ride in safety in all types of use, from the twisty roads of the countryside to the traffic of the city and under both wet and dry conditions.

Like the Diablo Rosso Corsa, the Rosso II is personalisable in an exclusive way with the use of special adhesive labels which can be created with characters and flags via Pirelli’s website and applied to the sidewalls.

Additional details on the innovation and the technology of the Rosso range of motorcycle tyres will be available shortly on Pirelli’s website: www.pirellimoto.com.
