Update - So yes, the DUNLOP TRAILMAX MISSION will also come to Europe.

Dunlop tested over 30 different types of mission prototypes before the final specification was signed. One of the main goals was the durability in addition to full off-road suitability. Dunlop's own tests have shown that drivers can count on excellent mileage. The series version of the Mission rear tire delivered 12,800 kilometers to the wear limit in the test, an impressive number against the background of the very good off-road qualities.

(* Internal test carried out on a 400 km long test track in the field, tire sizes 110 / 80-19 and 150 / 70B17 on Suzuki V-Strom 1000)

The Dunlop DT4 Is The First New Flat Track Tyre In 40 Years

American Flat Track and Dunlop Motorcycle Tires announced another multi-year renewal to the longterm partnership between America’s Original Extreme Sport and the premier manufacturer of motorcycle tires in North America.

Continuing on as the Official Tire of American Flat Track, Dunlop also announced the development of the first new flat track tire in 40 years — the DT4. The new spec tire for the series, all riders in all three AFT classes will be competing on the DT4 in 2020.

“We are delighted to continue our association with Dunlop,” said Michael Lock, CEO of American Flat Track. “Their R&D and manufacturing here in the USA is an important advantage for us and has resulted in a brand new tire for our sport. Better durability, more rider confidence and a superior performance envelope give the promise of even better racing in AFT in 2020.”

Dunlop`s cruiser and chopper tire Dunlop D404 available in four new sizes.

2 NEW FRONT AND REAR TIRE SIZES AVAILABLE FROM 2020

2 new front tire sizes 100 / 90-18 56H TL and 110 / 90-18 61H TL for bikes like BMW R850 C Cruiser or Honda VF 1100 C.
2 new rear tire sizes 130 / 90-15 66H TL and 170 / 80-15 77H e.g. for Yamaha XVS 1100 Drag Star, Suzuki M800 Intruder or Triumph Speedmaster 865

From 2020, the Dunlop Sportsmart TT will also be available in the tire sizes for Adventure Motorcycles (BMW GS / KTM etc.)

Dunlop Sportsmart TT TRAIL  in 120/70 ZR19 and 170/60 ZR17.

That's what Metzeler tried with the M7 RR this year. The tire was taken out of the program after a short time and is no longer produced.

Of course there are bikers who really want to pull the gas cock with a GS, but if you have to put on a super sports tire, we question them. Since the rest of the time you have to accept all the disadvantages of a super athlete.

Getting such a tire up to operating temperature is not always that easy.

A recall was announced with Dunlop Trailmax Meridian motorcycle tires in several sizes.

Problem description: The tyres may be affected by an open tread splice that can lead to a tread bulge or tread detachment affecting the operation of the motorcycle. In case the tread detaches during high-speed operation, the motorcycle could be subject to vibration and the driver may lose control, increasing the risk of an accident.

Introducing Dunlop’s next generation intermediate-to-hard terrain off-road MX tire: the Dunlop Geomax MX53. Designed to offer more performance in a wider variety of terrains, the MX53 excels in hard-packed track conditions while also offering greater versatility in intermediate riding conditions.

With its upgraded technology, the MX53 will give riders more versatility with better performance. This is in part due to the all-new tread pattern on both the front and rear tires. A revolutionary horseshoe-shaped cluster of knobs has been added to the front tire. This acts as a giant claw to dig into the ground and give the rider improved traction on hard-packed terrain and maximizes braking grip.
