DUNLOP

To continue the style of the Flat Trackers FTR 750, Indian has created Dunlop, a new Flat Track-inspired road tire produced exclusively for the FTR model series.

The DUNLOP DT3-R, featured on the FTR 1200 and FTR 1200 S, was modeled after the DT3 Flat Track race tire and now has a tighter tread with less depth and additional Silka for better grip on tarmac.

Available tire size for the Indian:

120/70 -19 (60V) DT3-R
150/80 -18 (70V) DT3-R

DUNLOP EXPANDS SPORTMAX LINE WITH THE ADDITION OF THE TRACK-DAY HIGH-PERFORMANCE Q4

makes it more easier to get your knee on the roead. This new track day motorcycle tyre achieves lean angles up to 62 degrees, more than any other street-legal tyre Dunlop has ever made.

Available fom Mai 2018 in the US

The Q4 is a new model, but it’s not replacing the Q3+. Rather, it’s an additional product line. While the Q3+ was an evolution of the excellent Q3 and was designed to provide great grip with increased durability, this new Q4 is its own beast and all about performance.

FEATURES

  • The user-friendly Q4 does not require tire warmers, and runs at street pressures, eliminating the need for chassis or electronic adjustments.
  • Rear tire compound contains carbon black like Dunlop’s racing slicks for maximum grip.
  • Jointless Tread (JLT) technology uses a continuously wound strip compound to optimize stability, flex, and grip across the rear tread profile.
  • Carbon Fiber Technology (CFT) uses carbon fiber reinforcement in the sidewalls for exceptional cornering performance, braking stability and feel.
  • On Tread Branding—raised letters built into the shoulder.
  • This purpose-built track-day tyre achieves lean angles up to 62 degrees*, more than any other street-legal tire Dunlop has ever made.
  • Made in the U.S.A. Only Dunlop makes sport tires in America.

DUNLOP GEOMAX MX33 launched.

  • Geomax MX33: Successor to the MX3S soft terrain tyre
  • New MXGP proven technologies
  • An industry first from Dunlop – an MX tyre for multi-terrain use

Last year, Dunlop tested new technologies in MXGP races. An improved tread pattern was tested with tie-bars between shoulder blocks.

This, coupled with a new block arrangement provided higher resistance against cracking when ridden on firm intermediate terrain. Dunlop also found this resistance was also helped by an all-new compound with higher shear resistance. By incorporating such technologies into the Geomax MX33, Dunlop has created a tyre with a greater range of capabilities than its forerunner, the race-winning Geomax MX3S.

The name SportSmart TT derives from Dunlop’s road focused SportSmart range and adds the letters TT, which refer to “Track Technology”.

The launch of the SportSmart TT marks Dunlop’s comeback to a segment of the market where they last competed with the renowned Qualifier RR over a decade ago.

The SportSmart TT is the fourth new Dunlop hypersport tyre to be launched in the past year and completes Dunlop’s strategy, announced last year, of taking a new approach to the segment in redefining their range around the goal of a ‘tyre for every rider’.

Recently, Harley Davidson approved the latest Dunlop GT 502 for its new XL1200 CX Roadster. These two new GT502 sizes feature an all-new radial construction that is designed to suit the sportier nature of the latest Roadster with its dynamic suspension and upgraded braking components.

For the Geomax MX 12, Dunlop’s U.S. race team joined forces with DPG and Dunlop’s European MXGP World Championship racing team to develop the tire on tracks here and in Europe, including testing on some of Europe’s “bottomless sand” tracks on the world MX championship schedule.

Designed for soft-terrain applications, the MX12 excels in extreme sand and mud conditions. Dunlop’s goal with this tire was to increase overall performance in a broader range of conditions—for example maintaining the tire’s high level of grip on muddy tracks even when the mud begins to dry out.
