The top spec tyre from Pirelli’s road range has been confirmed as standard equipment for the most prestigious supersport motorcycles
Pirelli DIABLO Supercorsa SP "V3" has received another recognition of its leadership in the segment of racing replica tyres for road use. It has been chosen by Honda, as original equipment for the HONDA CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP (in 120/70 ZR17 front and 200/55 ZR17 rear), the much awaited supersport machines of the Japanese manufacturer. The top performing member of the DIABLO™ road family from Pirelli, now in its third generation, is confirmed once more as the first choice for high-performance motorcycles recently introduced on the market by the most prestigious motorcycle manufacturers.
Developed in 2018 and now in its third generation, this race replica tyre is chosen by the most prestigious motorcycle manufacturers in the world as original equipment for their flagship supersports and naked bikes
The new PIRELLI DIABLO SUPERCORSA SP is the ultimate expression of Pirelli technology, its racing soul approved for road use.
In fact, the DIABLO SUPERCORSA SP is the third generation "V3" of Pirelli's highly popular race replica tyre featuring profile and structure that are nearly identical to those of the slick racing tyres that are used in national and international competitions such as the FIM World Superbike Championship.
The DIABLO SUPERCORSA SP establishes a benchmark for the race replica segment and thanks to its innovative features it has been chosen by Ducati as original equipment of its new Panigale V4 model year 2020, currently in action at the Bahrain International Circuit, where the official press launch of the new Italian supersports machine is taking place.
The new DIABLO ROSSO SCOOTER SC brings the full Pirelli racing experience to the scooter world. With special profiles, innovative compounds and a tread design derived from the DIABLO ROSSO™ SCOOTER, Pirelli has created a new street-legal tyre optimised for track applications.
Among the main advantages of DIABLO ROSSO™ SCOOTER SC there is the high grip guaranteed by the high-content Carbon Black compound, designed to guarantee rapid warm-up and excellent resistance to tearing. Thanks to the know-how derived from the developments of the DIABLO SUPERCORSA™ SC range, DIABLO ROSSO™ SCOOTER SC is suitable for use in all classes of scooter competitions.
PIRELLI PHANTOM SPORTSCOMP RS is a new competition tyre also approved for road use, designed for motorcycles with eighteen-inch wheels and intended for classic sprint and endurance races.
PHANTOM SPORTSCOMP RS combines the historic tread design of the iconic PHANTOMTM SPORTSCOMP with the latest technology for high performance track tyres, and is designed for contemporary classic racing applications.
The main advantages offered to the rider are the quick warm-up and the wide range of operating temperatures that allows entry to the track even without tyre warmers. PHANTOM™ SPORTSCOMP RS offers great consistency as the bike is lent over thanks to a dual-radius profile optimised for use on older chassis; once on the racing line at full lean, the large footprint area communicates control to the front and grip to the rear tyre.
For 2020 Pirelli announces numerous innovations in the racing range, enriching it with new products and expanding the choice of sizes and compounds of many tyres. Pirelli has always been at the forefront of research and technological development in the racing environment thanks to its decades of commitment in the FIM Superbike World Championship. The main news for next year in the segment of racing tyres for production based motorcycles, in all classes of the Championship, is the use of DIABLO™ SUPERBIKE slick tyres.
For the premier class, in 2020 the Italian brand proposes this product in new increased sizes that allow further improvements in terms of handling and top performance, contributing to the continuous reduction of lap times. New compounds with a wider range of uses also better respond, in terms of versatility and conditions of use, to the needs of professionals as well as track-day enthusiasts.
For the street-legal DIABLO SUPERCORSA SC range, now available in a new SC3 compound which allows top performance over multiple sessions in an extraordinarily wide spectrum of track characteristics and operating temperatures, in line with the new DIABLO SUPERBIKE SC3 version.

Seven Pirelli motorcycle tyres were selected by some of the most prestigious motorcycle manufacturers as original equipment for their most exciting new models that will be available in dealerships in the New Year
Pirelli is again confirmed as the first and natural choice of many motorcycle manufacturers, selecting tyres from the Italian brand as original equipment for their upcoming new models of 2020.
The range of seven tyres were chosen to equip thirty-four new models from nine different motorcycle manufacturers: Ducati, MV Agusta, Aprilia, Kawasaki, Triumph, Indian Motorcycle and the electric Energica Motor Company, Zero Motorcycles and Tacita.
The Diablo Supercorsa SP possesses a tread design, profile and structure nearly identical to those of Pirelli racing tyres used in competitions whose regulations require the use of grooved tyres rather than slicks. Development of the SP drew upon Pirelli’s experience as sole tyre supplier for all FIM World Superbike Championship classes, and in particular from the Diablo Supercorsa SC. The SC, which is available in different compounds, is used by the production-derived Supersport and Superstock classes and in all national championships in which Pirelli participates as sole supplier or in open competition with other tyre manufacturers.
CONTINENTAL TKC 70 Rocks - The fourth challenger in Continental's 2020 tire assault is the TKC 70 Rocks – a rear tire without a solid backbone and with knobs over the entire tread pattern. It's a cross between the TKC 70 and TKC 80 and can be used on wider types of terrain than the TKC 70 and is better on the road than the TKC 80, offering an attractive alternative with greater versatility and freedom. The TKC 70 Rocks can be combined with the front wheel tires of the TKC 70, creating an additional tire option for those who yearn for the horizon offroad.
PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO III will be available in new tire sizes in 2019.

With the extension of the partnership with Dorna WSBK Organization for a further three years, the union born in 2004 between Pirelli and the production-derived series will boast a unique twenty-year collaboration in motorsport.
In response to the evolution of supersport machines, and confirming Pirelli's role as a leading tyre manufacturer in the international racing scene, starting from 2020 all WorldSBK Championship classes will use Pirelli DIABLO Superbike slick tyres.
In the WorldSBK category the larger sizes become the new reference as well as the rear 190/60 for WorldSSP and the switch to slick tyres will also gradually involve the national championships in which Pirelli participates. The SCX option will enter the range and also be available on the market.
