Owners of adventure, ‘enduro street’ and dual purpose motorcycles are increasingly looking for sport touring performance when used on asphalt, but without sacrificing off-road capabilities. While responding to this market request, however, the METZELER KAROO™ Street maintains an off-road look, in character with these type of motorcycles, while delivering excellent road performance on both dry and wet asphalt.
The METZELER KAROO™ Street tyre has been developed for the latest generation of adventure, big enduro and dual purpose motorcycles, capable of taking dirt roads in their stride. With the KAROO™ Street tyre these motorcycles will now be further enhanced to tackle distant road journeys, where good mileage, stability and comfort are fundamental throughout the life-cycle of the tyre.
Only black was yesterday: At the METZELER booth at the Custombike exhibition, a tire with orange sidewalls can be seen for the first time. With a visitor survey, the manufacturer gathers the reactions to new design options in this area. In addition, attractive exhibits from the luxury manufacturer Thunderbike lure the custom bike fans to the stand of the German tire brand.
The tires with the exclusive color scheme are presented on a genuine Thunderbike based on a Harley-Davidson Softail Slim. With this highlight, METZELER wants to gather feedback on the new tire design among the custom bike fans.
Following the Himalayan model equipped with MT 60™ and the Continental GT 500 cc with SPORT DEMON™, now the new Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650 will be mounted with Pirelli tyres. To celebrate the original equipment supply, Pirelli’s Motorcycle Testing Department climbed the Himalayan chain to reach one of the highest vehicle-accessible passes in the world.
The collaboration between Pirelli, one of the leading tyre manufacturers in the world, and Royal Enfield, the historic Anglo-Indian motorcycle company, is further strengthened: the new models Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650, recently presented at EICMA, will fit Pirelli PHANTOM™ SPORTSCOMP as original equipment tyres.

BRIDGESTONE BATTLAX TOURING T31
In addition to boosting stability and handling performance, Bridgestone has developed a new front-tyre compound for T31 with higher rubber flexibility. This enhances the bite “feel” in the wet, giving riders more confidence in tricky conditions. Providing higher camber thrust due to a bigger contact patch in all lean angles is bringing the fun factor on Sport Touring bikes to a new level as dry handling improved as well next to the bigger steps in the wet conditions.²
MotoGP control tyre supplier Michelin has extended its contract with the premier class series and will continue in its role until the end of 2023. Michelin, based in Clermont-Ferrand in France, joined MotoGP™ as sole supplier in 2016. Since then, the premier class has enjoyed two of the most spectacular seasons in the 69-year history of motorcycle Grand Prix racing - something both parties are delighted to extend for a further five years.

Fazi, who is an FIM Bureaux Technical Commission member and a proud affiliate of the Moto Club Benelli, reached a top speed of 114.823 km/h (71.347 mph) across 1 kilometer and 71.294 mph (114.737 km/h) across 1 mile, both speeds representing an average of two runs in both directions.
