Compound updates with the introduction of the new SCX and larger sizes for the DIABLO SUPERBIKE slicks: innovative rear tread pattern and two different compounds for the DIABLO Rain tyre.

The new technical solutions, produced from constant development work, will beused by WorldSBK and National Championship riders and, in line with Pirelli’s philosophy towards two-wheeled racing, will be available for purchase by all motorcycle riders.

Pirelli, upon completion of intense and constant development work which started in 2017 and continued throughout 2018, is pleased to introduce the new 2019 DIABLO™ range of tyres in compounds intended for track use to racers and motorcyclists all over the world.
The goal that guided this development, which has resulted in the new solutions, was to increase consistent performance and, especially for the rear, ‘mechanical resistance’.

The company’s tyre innovations include the ContiTrailAttack 3, the third generation of the agile onroad/offroad tyre.

PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO CORSA II 2018 "TYRE OF THE YEAR"

The all-new PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO CORSA II has been named ‘Tyre of the Year’ by Motorcycle News in its debut year, cementing a successful launch for the Italian brand’s latest and most sophisticated road and track tyre.
 
Utilising technology developed within the World Superbike Championship, where Pirelli is the sole tyre supplier to the series, DIABLO™ ROSSO CORSA II is the company’s first multi-compound front motorcycle tyre. Featuring two compounds applied in three zones on the front tyre and three compounds applied at five zones on the rear to create the ideal combination for modern motorcycles.

The two additions will add a new dimension to CST’s enduro and motorcross collections, further expanding their product portfolio of world-class tyres.

CM-723/CM-724 are specifically suited to the discipline of enduro racing and are FIM approved. The CM-723, for the front of the bike, has small, irregular and polygonal tread blocks to increase traction, whilst the larger CM-724 has a tread pattern that helps disperse mud and lower rolling resistance. Shoulder knobs are a key feature of both tyres, offering more grip and stability to the bike whilst cornering.

The Battlax Adventurecross Scrambler AX41S is Bridgestone’s new concept. AX41S makes attitude, fashion, design and performance complementary.

A lot of research inside the scrambler and ‘café racer’ world has brought so many design ideas. The AX41S is the outcome of hours behind the drawing table. The Battlecross E50 is the outcome of years of off-road technology development. It is road homologated and can be used in all Enduro competitions. The Battlecross E50 has shown improvements in all performance areas and on all types of surfaces vs. its predecessor ED66X.

The new pattern design has increased dramatically the edge component of the blocks. +60 % in the front and +120% on the rear. This improves both cornering and traction grip.

A weekend rich with victories and podium places for the METZELER brand, with the riders Steve Holcombe, Alex Salvini, Loic Larrieu, Emanuele Facchetti and Andrea Verona competing in the fifth round of the Enduro World Championship which took place on the METZELER Offroad Park racetrack in Pietramurata

The wonderful permanent racetrack at the METZELER Offroad Park in Pietramurata, just a few kilometres from the northern tip of Lake Garda, played host to the fifth round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship. The Trentino GP took place over just one day of races, and as usual there was no lack of successes for METZELER and the riders sponsored by the tyre brand.

At this year's German Speedweek, the successor of the legendary ContiRoadAttack 2 CR will be racing on the rims of a Yamaha FJ 1200 at the Oschersleben Classic Endurance. The new Classic series was already in action at Circuit Paul Richard in France and at Donington Park in England this spring Guest.

DUNLOP GEOMAX MX33 launched.

Last year, Dunlop tested new technologies in MXGP races. An improved tread pattern was tested with tie-bars between shoulder blocks.

This, coupled with a new block arrangement provided higher resistance against cracking when ridden on firm intermediate terrain. Dunlop also found this resistance was also helped by an all-new compound with higher shear resistance. By incorporating such technologies into the Geomax MX33, Dunlop has created a tyre with a greater range of capabilities than its forerunner, the race-winning Geomax MX3S.

Only black was yesterday: At the METZELER booth at the Custombike exhibition, a tire with orange sidewalls can be seen for the first time. With a visitor survey, the manufacturer gathers the reactions to new design options in this area. The tires with the exclusive color scheme are presented on a genuine Thunderbike based on a Harley-Davidson Softail Slim. With this highlight, METZELER wants to gather feedback on the new tire design among the custom bike fans.

The collaboration between Pirelli and Royal Enfield is growing: PHANTOM™ SPORTSCOMP tyres are the original equipment of the new Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650

Following the Himalayan model equipped with MT 60™ and the Continental GT 500 cc with SPORT DEMON™, now the new Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650 will be mounted with Pirelli tyres. To celebrate the original equipment supply, Pirelli’s Motorcycle Testing Department climbed the Himalayan chain to reach one of the highest vehicle-accessible passes in the world.

BRIDGESTONE BATTLAX TOURING T31

The New Battlax Sport Touring T31, where safety and performance meet

In addition to boosting stability and handling performance, Bridgestone has developed a new front-tyre compound for T31 with higher rubber flexibility. This enhances the bite “feel” in the wet, giving riders more confidence in tricky conditions. Bridgestone upgrades Battlax performance in the Adventure segment with the improved wet grip and handling of A41, without sacrificing the mileage of its A40 predecessor. The package features triple-layer compound technology on front and rear, with a cap & base configuration that improves cornering stability. Of particular interest for the majority of bikers who ride Adventure machines on road, Bridgestone tests recorded 8%³ faster lap times for the new Battlax A41 on a wet handling track demonstrating the extra performances and safety they will get on the road.

A41 becomes your NEW trail on road partner which makes your travel, whatever the condition, an undefinable experience. Trust and confidence were the aims of this full new development. The total performance package in dry and in particular wet conditions without sacrificing anything on wear life, made a big step forward. Never be afraid of sudden rain of wet weather conditions. By adopting multi-compound layer technology (3LC) for both front and rear in a cap and base configuration together with the innovative pattern design and groove positioning, it improves the water drainage and the grip level in tricky conditions. By revising the construction to find the right contact property in order to operate in harmony with the improved compound characteristics, the Battlax Adventure A41 is providing the confidence and contact feel needed to tackle the most incredible roads.

BRIDGESTONE SCOOTER SC2 / SC2 RAIN
