"Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is introducing DUNLOP SPORTMAX Q-LITE, a versatile diagonal tire with high grip that can be used on a variety of racing tracks and roads starting in the 2023 season. Seven sizes are available.

The Dunlop SPORTMAX Q-LITE has a new design pattern related directly to the high-grip tire of the "Q-series," a single R-tread pattern, a high-grip mixture, and an optimal combination of structures to achieve sufficient grip performance for sporty driving and the road. It is a diagonal tire with a long lifespan. You can confidently drive in various driving situations, from cornering, touring, daily tours, and circuit courses.

Continental brings motorcycles online: At the EICMA 2022 motorcycle trade fair, which takes place in Milan from November 8-13, the technology company will present its solution for always-on connectivity of motorcycles to a broad public for the first time (Hall 9, Booth M60). The Connected Infotainment Box enables the use of digital services such as turn-by-turn navigation and stolen vehicle tracking, even without a connection to a smartphone. “Our discussions with manufacturers have confirmed the importance of a future-proof connectivity solution for motorcycles,” says Harry Krickl, Director of Sales, Motorcycles and Off-Highway in Continental’s Commercial and Special Vehicles business segment. “We’re well on the way to closing the gap between motorcycles and the internet, without having to depend on smartphones. This is the first step towards ensuring that motorcycles are ‘always-on’, that mobility on two wheels becomes really smart, and safety and ride comfort are noticeably increased.”

Premieres, innovations, special events and test tracks are waiting for motorcycle fans

It’s the first trade fair highlight of the year for motorcycle and scooter fans from Europe and the specialised trade from all over the world: INTERMOT, the International Motorcycle, Scooter and E-Bike Fair, from 4 to 9 October 2022. Around 500 exhibiting companies and brands from around 29 countries, including many big names, will present their new and current models and product innovations to the international specialised trade and the biker community. In addition to motorcycles and scooters, the INTERMOT offering also encompasses accessories, clothing, parts, heritage and customizing, travel and workshop equipment. INTERMOT is organised by Koelnmesse GmbH, and the conceptual sponsor of the event is the German Motorcycle Industry Association (IVM), based in Essen, Germany.

The fourth generation of Pirelli DIABLO Supercorsa tyres, both in the SP racing street version and SC option (available in different compounds and designed for track use), is successfully completing final stages of development and testing and it will be available to the public from the start of 2023.

Compared to its predecessor, the DIABLO Supercorsa V4 (V4 indicates the fourth generation) is a completely renewed product in terms of tread design, compounds, structures and profiles. DIABLO Supercorsa, both in the racing and in the race replica version, is a tyre homologated for road use and has always been an emblem of pure performance and absolute sportiness, in other words ‘speed’.

The brand METZELER has been selected by Honda Racing UK as Official Tyre Supplier for its 2022 Road Racing campaign, which includes the Isle of Man TT and the North West 200 as both events return following a two-year hiatus. The team will run the latest generation METZELER RACETEC RR Slick tyres on the 30th anniversary Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Superbike and RACETEC™ RR road legal tyres on Superstock machinery.

Mitas extends its mousse range with a new rally version to meet the specific demands of rally racers from all over the world.

Gustavo Pinto Teixeira, Vice President Two Wheels at Trelleborg Wheel Systems, explains: “When developing the new Mitas Rally Mousse, we had in mind that racers are seeking a durable and versatile mousse option, which will deliver constant performance throughout the whole race.”

The complete development process was supported by professional racers in various weather conditions and terrains. The most demanding test was performed by rider Simon Marčič during the arduous 2022 Dakar Rally. He reviewed the mousse in an online video after he successfully finished the race: “This new Mitas Rally Mousse really proved its superior performance in terms of versatility, and resulted in the perfect choice for different types of rally from short to long ones.”

The new Mitas Rally Mousse features a durable compound that is suitable to high speeds and resistant to heat and sharp objects, delivering superior performance on vertical technical sections.

It is designed for use in combination with a range of Mitas Rally tires including E-12 RALLY STAR, E-13 RALLY STAR, C-21 STONEKING and C-17 STONEATER Dakar, and available in the 140/80-18 rear and 90/90-21 front sizes In addition to the Mitas Rally Mousse, the Mitas mousse range includes products for Motocross and Enduro, available in several 18 to 21-inch sizes and in three different versions: from a standard for motocross and cross country, to a soft version for enduro and an extreme version for technical extreme enduro sections.

During the Motorcycle Trophies, MICHELIN ROAD CLASSIC received the prize for the best motorcycle equipment of the year. This tire intended for neo-retro motorcycles combines driving pleasure and safety.

Michelin does not forget classic motorcycles with the new Michelin Road Classic tire which uses the group's latest technologies. It was Franck Ferreira da Silva, Business Segment Manager Michelin who came to collect his prize.

Michelin has launched its latest motocross tire range, the new MICHELIN STARCROSS 6, which was developed in association with top professional riders competing at national and international levels.
