The collaboration between METZELER and Indian Motorcycle has been strengthened with the German tyre brand chosen as a development partner and supplier for the latest and most powerful bagger of the U.S. motorcycle manufacturer. The METZELER CRUISETEC tyres were selected, after a long process of joint development between the Research & Development and Testing departments of the two brands, resulting in exclusive original equipment designation for the new 2020 Indian Challenger.
CRUISETEC™ tyres, installed with the 130 / 60B19 66H front and 180 / 60R16 80H rear sizes, are equipping all versions of the new Indian Challenger, including the Dark Horse and Limited models.
METZELER has been involved with Indian Motorcycle since the start of the project, actively participating in the development of the motorcycle by offering its contribution to refining and improving the riding experience.
All this has been possible thanks to the collaborative work between the technicians of METZELER and those of Indian® Motorcycle, who have succeeded in establishing a perfect harmony between the CRUISETEC™ tyres and the new Challenger, ultimately creating an inseparable combination. The new Challenger was developed to fit and perform at its best with CRUISETEC™ tyres.
With the extension of the partnership with Dorna WSBK Organization for a further three years, the union born in 2004 between Pirelli and the production-derived series will boast a unique twenty-year collaboration in motorsport.
In response to the evolution of supersport machines, and confirming Pirelli's role as a leading tyre manufacturer in the international racing scene, starting from 2020 all WorldSBK Championship classes will use Pirelli DIABLO Superbike slick tyres.
In the WorldSBK category the larger sizes become the new reference as well as the rear 190/60 for WorldSSP and the switch to slick tyres will also gradually involve the national championships in which Pirelli participates. The SCX option will enter the range and also be available on the market.

Available for purchase in 27 sizes starting January 2020, the new custom tire line is the official tire of Daytona Beach Bike Week, the World's Largest Motorcycle Event.
Expanding on the highly acclaimed MICHELIN Commander II tire, the newest addition to the cruiser portfolio is designed to deliver exceptional wet grip and extraordinary durability. The MICHELIN Commander III Touring tire is designed to go the distance for Baggers with excellent wet grip and longevity that is designed to exceed its predecessor with new tread compounds. The MICHELIN Commander III Cruiser tire is engineered to deliver outstanding wet grip without compromising longevity compared to its predecessor. The distinctive tread patterns and patented velvet sidewall designs of the new line enhance the styling of all V-Twin motorcycles.

The Bridgestone Battlax BT46 is set to replace the iconic Battlax BT45. Since its introduction 22 years ago, the Battlax BT45 has been the go-to tyre for touring. Now, Bridgestone has upgraded this design with modern technology.
The Battlax BT46 features an inverted V-shape in the front pattern - it tackles working forces on the tyre, reduces irregular wear and gives the rider incredible feedback for superior handling. The rear tyre is enhanced with a newly adapted silica single compound to maximise performance, grip and wear. Wet performance has been upgraded from the BT45, with no impact on the predecessor’s well-known dry handling performance and wear resistance. And the BT46 is compatible with UM application: tubeless marked tyres are approved for mounting on tube type rims if they are used with a tube.
Bridgestone has specially developed this tyre to cover the wide range of motorcycles competing in the touring segment. Available in 21 sizes for the front and 27 sizes for the rear. Ten main sizes will be launched in January 2020, with a rollout of the full line to follow soon after.
Specially developed for Maxi Classic Racing, this tyre has already proven its superior performance. While still in development, the Bridgestone Battlax Classic Racing CR11 was a winner at the FIM Europe classic endurance championship (EEC). At the 4-hours Biker’s Classic in Spa-Francorchamps, it helped #10 Poweracing-Japauto take home first place and team #5 Roadrunner pick up the second place. In damp and tricky conditions, the best lap time and the
fastest pace were recorded with Bridgestone tyres.
The Battlax Classic Racing CR11 offers super-fast warm up - vitally important for races that don’t allow tyre warmers. The tread pattern is derived from Bridgestone’s grooved racing tyre, Battlax Racing R11. It gives the rider consistent grip and superior performance. Bridgestone Battlecross E50 Extreme – Dedicated to extreme enduro racing
Introduced in 2019, the Battlecross E50 had a victorious first year, winning races across different enduro categories. On the back of this success, Bridgestone is releasing a new, dedicated racing tyre for extreme enduro. The new E50 Extreme challenges even the toughest terrain. It features a soft compound specially developed for superior grip and high traction power. Introducing Dunlop’s next generation intermediate-to-hard terrain off-road MX tire: the Dunlop Geomax MX53. Designed to offer more performance in a wider variety of terrains, the MX53 excels in hard-packed track conditions while also offering greater versatility in intermediate riding conditions.
With its upgraded technology, the MX53 will give riders more versatility with better performance. This is in part due to the all-new tread pattern on both the front and rear tires. METZELER has announced that its popular line of RACETEC RR race tyres will be expanded to include four new 18-inch sizes specifically designed for North American vintage racers and enthusiasts. With our new motocross competition profile Maxxcross MX-ST, we have been involved in the most important international motocross series since this year. Developed especially for the FIM Motocross World Grand Prix (MXGP), two riders have recently achieved considerable success with their Intermediate / Soft-Ground Motocross tires.
Just recently, 17-year-old Mattia Guadagnini won the Junior World Championship title in Pietramurata, Italy, in the 125cc class. With a fantastic performance, he has topped the podium at the FIM European Championship EMX125 with a place at the top of the podium. So far, the Husqvarna rider from Team Maddii Racing has won six races. He will compete in the 250cc EMX next season. In addition, we can look forward to Alberto Forato, also from the "Team Maddii Racing". The 19-year-old finished third in the European Championship in the 250cc class with his Maxxis-tired Husqvarna.
The custom-designed MICHELIN Scorcher Sport tyres have been selected to equip the first Harley-Davidson LiveWire all-electric motorcycle. The new Michelin Scorcher Sport tire, co-developed and co-branded with Harley-Davidson, is designed to enhance the ride and handling performance of Harley-Davidson’s first electric motorcycle, leading a planned portfolio of electric two-wheelers aimed to establish Harley-Davidson as the leader in the electrification of motorcycles.
The MICHELIN Scorcher Sport tire integrates Michelin’s innovative Dual Compound Technology (2CT and 2CT+), the most advanced compounds ever used in MICHELIN Scorcher tires. These compounds extend the performance of the MICHELIN Scorcher tire range by providing outstanding levels of wet and dry grip. Along with advanced compounds developed through years of sport radial tire innovation and extensive track testing, this technology enables the MICHELIN Scorcher Sport tire to provide wear resistance in the center of the tread with optimized grip on the shoulders, and also features a radial casing tuned specifically to extract the maximum performance from Harley-Davidson’s newest motorcycle.

The MICHELIN Scorcher Sport-equipped LiveWire will be available in 2019 through select authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships in the United States, Canada and most European countries.
