The Metzeler Roadtec Z6 was replaced by the Z8 in 2010, but is still produced in some sizes as a third-range tire, though it will be gradually phased out.
The Roadtec 01 was launched in 2015, followed by the SE version. As of 2026, the Metzeler Roadtec 02 is the current version in the Roadtec family.
The Metzeler Roadtec Z6 is a sports-touring radial tyre tuned on the characteristics of modern bikes with outstanding performance in all weather conditions. The tyre has excellent wet performance with solid contact feeling for outstanding traction and easy handling characteristics. The tyre comprises a ‘Fine Carbon Matrix' compound which provides fantastic dry grip, matched with a long mileage.
