Pirelli Angel -
- Pirelli Angel GT has one spiral steel belt in common with the outgoing Angel ST, but beyond that it’s totally new. As Pirelli explains, most wear occurs as the working surface slows under compression and then accelerates while rotating away from the road. Since physics can’t be changed, the company revised the tire construction to widen and shorten the contact patch for improved wear characteristics.
The Angel GT is targeted at naked-bike, sport-touring, sportbike and touring riders who want multi-season traction and durability.
- Pirelli Angel ST will be a single compound tyre, with more of a focus on the same EPT, or Enhanced Patch Technology, thesis that the Diablo Rosso sport tyre was centralised around last year.
